5K Run for Danielle

Come join us for this great 5K run!
This year, it will be followed by the annual swim-a-thon and basket auction at
Glen Ridge Swim Club. All runners are invited to attend and participate and
will receive free tickets for the auction.
This is a certified course (generally flat) through Bridgewater
neighborhoods. It begins on Thruway Road (at the 1-way section near
Garretson Road), and continues down Thruway to Talamini Road (1 mile
mark), and then turns left on Talamini a short way to Red Lion's Way. The
course continues down Red Lion's Way onto St. George's, then left on
Burning Bush, and left back onto Red Lion's Way. From there, the course
heads back on Talamini and Thruway to finish at the same point the race
began.
This charity run is designed as an extension to the Danielle Fedortion Swim-
a-Thon that benefits the Danielle Fedortion Scholarships at Bridgewater-
Raritan High School. The proceeds from the 5K Run will also benefit local
and international children's charities such as Make-A-Wish, Kiva,and Mercy
Corps.
These scholarships and donations to charities are in memory of Danielle, a
dedicated and thoughtful Glen Ridge Gator who passed away in 2001 at the
age of 12.
Please come out and join us for this great run and help raise funds for such
a worthy cause.
